This picture inspires me because this is how I interpret Allie's life would've been if she would've chosen Lon. So, when she is married to Lon in the video I need to incorporate this loneliness.
This picture inspires me because the quote represents that staying with Lon would satisfy her friends and family. It would also give her the social standing her mother would approve of. Even if she didn't love him, it would make other people happy.
This quote inspires me because this could be Allie's thought process if she chose Lon, Noah would be the better guy and Lon would be the one that makes her a better girl in terms of money and social standing.
In "The Notebook", by Nicholas Sparks, Allie and Noah undergo an extreme summer romance but end up going their separate ways once the summer ends. Allie eventually meets another man, Lon, who proposes to her and she says yes. A few weeks before their wedding, Allie travels back to the town where she met Noah to see him. Lon goes to the town also and finds out she had been spending time with her first love Noah. Allie then must make the decision whether to stay with Noah and be with the person who makes her feel a way that Lon cannot, or stay with Lon to satisfy her social standing and friends and family. Allie chooses Noah, and they begin their lives together. Later in life, she is diagnosed with Alzheimer's and Noah must exert a significant amount of patience and understanding when she cannot not remember who he is. Every day he reads her their love story in the hope that she will come to understanding of who he is and what they shared. She rarely does, but he remains hopeful and makes it part of his daily routine to attempt each and every day. I want to alter the plot by having Allie choose Lon instead of Noah. He is a lawyer, and is very consumed in his work so my idea is that he wouldn't be as attentive to Allie when her Alzheimer's reaches high stages. I want to demonstrate Allie's life not being as exciting and passionate as it was with Noah so viewers can see the way things would've been if she were not to choose Noah. I want to incorporate flashbacks of Allie's and Noah's time together in color, and have the parts of Allie and Lon be in black and white so it is clear that Allie is not satisfied. I'm sure everyone that has read this book is curious as to what would've happened if Allie had chosen Lon so my goal is to give them a realistic answer.
